Mario Sikora: President (Type 8)
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Mario Sikora is managing director of Awareness to Action International and co-author of the book “Awareness to Action: the Enneagram, Emotional Intelligence, and Change.” Awareness to Action International uses the Enneagram to help leaders in organizations of all types and sizes increase individual performance and team effectiveness. Mario has coached hundreds of leaders in large organizations across the country.
Deborah Ooten Ph.D.: Vice President (Type 8)
Cincinnati, Ohio
A gifted trainer and coach, Dr. Deborah Ooten helps business professionals achieve success by increasing their awareness and understanding of themselves and others. “When employees understand both their own gifts and challenges, and those of their co-workers, the result is high performing, happy teams,” explains Dr. Ooten.
Dr. Ooten developed the trademarked Conscious Dynamics™ process, which has been used with transformative results by the University of Cincinnati, Procter & Gamble and The Advisory Team and many others. At the heart of the Conscious Dynamics™ process is the Enneagram personality typing system. Powered by her passionate mission to improve the lives of everyone around her, by increasing conscious awareness, Dr. Ooten’s journey began as a young woman with a desire to understand and help her family. She has since earned three degrees, each one focusing on an integral aspect of each of us: Body (B.S. Occupational Therapy), Heart (Masters Philosophy) and Mind (PhD. Psychology). Dr. Ooten has also founded three successful companies, each one focused on a unique audience: Dr. Ooten’s private practice, The Conscious Living Center for individuals, couples, families, and the School of Conscious Living and Conscious Dynamics LLC for businesses. Deborah is also currently the Vice-President of IEA and Liaison for the IEA Conference.
Lynda Roberts: Secretary (Type 6)
Decauter, Georgia
Lynda Roberts is a Project Management Professional (PMP) with a twenty-two year career in Information Technology management. Since 2001, she has had her own management consulting business in which her focus has been program and project management professional training, doing curriculum design work as well as teaching. She is an Enneagram Institute certified teacher, teaches Riso-Hudson Authorized Workshops as well as her own Enneagram workshops, and is in training to become an Enneagram Institute faculty member. She is a Director of the Enneagram Institute of Georgia and is a student of the Ridhwan Diamond Approach founded by A.H. Almaas.
Samantha Schoenfeld: Treasurer (Type 4)
Palo Alto, California
Samantha, a working member of Conexions: Partnerships for a Sustainable Future, brings experience and skills as a conflict resolution professional specializing in mediated and facilitated processes to enneBusiness Solutions, a project of Conexions. enneBusiness Solutions takes problem solving to a different level through interactive processes that empower the individual, which in turn benefits the whole organization. The result is happier employees, more efficient work teams, reduced conflict between co-workers, and less stress in the workplace. Samantha has worked with business, academic institutions, and in public peace processes internationally. She is a certified Enneagram Instructor and also teaches with the Enneagram Studies, Project of Conexions.
Suzanne Dion (Type 1)
Aptos, California
Suzanne is owner of ChaelDion Group, Inc., a communications design and marketing-support company — clients have included Apple Computer, Inc., The City of San Diego, and Oracle Corporation. Suzanne served as the Executive Technical Director of the International Aerobics Federation (IAF) under the auspices of the Japanese government's Ministry of Sport, Science, and Culture based in Tokyo, Japan, since 1988. For the IAF, Suzanne worked for years developing a network of affiliated fitness organizations/associations in over 35 countries. Additionally, Suzanne wrote the technical regulations for competitive sportaerobics and trained judges, coaches, and athletes worldwide, as well as coordinated international promotions including both live and for-broadcast events, including those for Satellite television and ESPN. A deeply committed enthusiast of the Enneagram, Suzanne is recently certified with the Palmer/Daniels Enneagram Training Program, one of her main goals is to increase the self-awareness and consciousness of women, particularly mothers. She recently served as a 2009 Committee Member for the AETNT Annual Conference held in San Francisco, CA.
Tom Flautt (Type 5)
Cincinnati, Ohio
Tom, now retired, holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and enjoyed an extensive career as an R&D Organizational Development manager for Proctor & Gamble, developing leadership programs and managing outplacement programs for R&D. A committed advocate of the Enneagram, Tom is certified with both the Palmer/Daniels and Riso/Hudson training schools, as well as has trained with Jerry Wagner, Ginger Lapid-Bogda, Sandra Maitri.. Tom served as the President of the IEA from 2001 - 2003, has been an active board member from 1999 to 2005, and has served on the Greater Cincinnati Chapter Board since 1998. Tom currently teaches seminars on the Enneagram including subtypes, the Holy Ideas, and organizes seminars for ECOV.
John Luckovich (Type 4)
Olympia, Washington
John Luckovich is an artist and graduate of The Evergreen State College with a B.A. with an emphasis on Art and Philosophy. He has been studying the Enneagram for five years and regularly give workshops and lectures to students in Olympia, Washington, where he currently resides. His interests are in art, particularly painting and drawing, the Enneagram, archetypal psychology, existential philosophy, mythology and symbology. As a college-aged person who is heavily interested in the Enneagram, John hopes to bring his perspective on how to make the Enneagram accessible to those in their 20s, which as it so happens, requires continued attention be put on its presence on the Internet and greater emphasis on its symbolic value. John credits the Internet as the place where he uncovered many of the initial elements that first inspired his own interest in the Enneagram.
Beth O'Hara (Type 2)
Cincinnati, Ohio
Beth O'Hara is a certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor and a certified Enneagram Teacher through the School of Conscious Living. She has a Bachelor's degree in Physiological Psychology from the University of Louisville. Beth works with groups and individuals to deepen and elevate consciousness through awareness of the body, mind, and emotions incorporating the Enneagram, movement, and meditation. Beth is passionate about the Enneagram as a tool for shifting consciousness and has found that pairing it with regular body awareness practice creates a grounded, solid foundation and energy for expansion into the Higher Self.
Gayle Scott (Type 1)
Gayle Scott is a veteran of Hollywood film and television production with over 20 years' experience in all aspects of production, having worked extensively in Europe, Africa, Australia, Canada and the U.S. In the mid '90s, her work with actors inspired her to combine her professional expertise with her passion for the Enneagram. She began employing the Enneagram as a tool for psychological character development in script development and film acting, leading to her pioneering specialty of Enneagram Consultant to Actors and Screenwriters. Her clientele has included many well-known actors, opera singers, writers, and directors. Gayle discovered the Enneagram in 1989 and began her Enneagram training with Don Riso and Russ Hudson in 1993. She later became a certified senior teacher and faculty member of the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Institute. With Russ Hudson, she co-teaches Riso-Hudson Enneagram Trainings, Workshops, and Teacher Certification courses across the U.S and around the world.
A founding Board Member of the Southern California chapter of the IEA, and former Director of the Enneagram Institute of Los Angeles, Gayle relocated to Boulder, Colorado, in 2002 to pursue her ongoing psycho-spiritual studies in the Ridhwan/ Diamond Approach School. She consults and teaches Enneagram workshops and trainings locally and internationally. Gayle has served on the Board of Directors of the International Enneagram Association (IEA Global) since 2004, and was the Director of the 2005 IEA World Conference in San Francisco. In 2009 she joined the Board of Directors of the IEA-USA.
Valerie Atkins: Advisor (Type 3)
Ann Arbor, Michigan
Valerie Atkin is founder of Wells Street Consulting, which focuses on the human side of the enterprise by providing consulting, customized learning solutions, and coaching. The Enneagram informs Valerie's work in the areas of leadership, team effectiveness, conflict resolution, selling, personal productivity, communication and the pro-bono work she enjoys doing with non-profits.
