Forming a Global IEA General Assembly of Nations
In approximately two months, the international Enneagram community will gather once more at the IEA Conference, this time in Las Vegas. With a top-quality cast of presenters, a wonderful resort hotel location, world-class entertainment attractions in town, and this being a very special moment in time for the IEA and the Enneagram world, I believe this is a not-to-be-missed event. Have you registered? You can easily do it on the IEA website.
The Conference itself is Friday, July 31st to Sunday, August 2nd. However, I strongly recommend you plan to arrive two days earlier. On Thursday, the IEA is honored to have Helen Palmer, David Daniels, Peter O’Hanrahan and Terry Saracino doing a day-long presentation on the Ecology of Transformation. And on Wednesday, July 29th, the IEA will hold a General Assembly of Affiliates (GAA), which will mark an important turning point in the history and organization of the IEA.

The GAA is the official forum for the participation of IEA Affiliates in the IEA Global organization. Affiliates, as you may know, are Enneagram associations in different countries that are affiliated with the IEA. Affiliates work both as IEA branches and as umbrella organizations for all Enneagram teachers, practitioners and enthusiasts within their countries.
On July 29th, at the GAA, two official representatives for each IEA Affiliate will meet from 8:30am to 6pm to discuss basic issues, report on activities, suggest plans, and influence the course of action of the IEA Global. The official IEA Affiliates are: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, China, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Iran, South Korea, Spain, USA, and Venezuela. Other IEA Affiliates may become official in time to join this first GAA. Processes are underway to create Affiliates in Chile, Mexico, South Africa and other countries.
This historic meeting promises to be a watershed event in the history of the IEA. The current IEA Global organization, formed and organized in the US, is changing its structure and composition in order to incorporate and be informed and influenced by the international community, represented by the GAA.

World Enneagram Day - It's All Happening!
The first annual World Enneagram Day is coming up on Saturday, May 30, 2009. The International Enneagram Association is hosting a worldwide day of independent teaching, discussion, contemplation, music, ritual, prayer and meditation — an opportunity for people to gather together to demonstrate our commitment to the goals of higher consciousness, global unity, and world peace.
We invite you to join us in offering service by teaching free Enneagram classes, leading group discussion, and generating conscious intention through meditation and prayer for the benefit of all beings in the name of abiding world peace.
We would like to put together a slideshow presentation of your events to screen at the July-August IEA conference in Las Vegas. IEA Conference Bookstore

The IEA Conference will once again feature our very popular on-site bookstore. All Professional Level Members of the IEA are invited to sell your products at the IEA Conference Bookstore.
The Please contact bookstore manager Gregg Jamback no later than June 5st to let him know if you would like to sell your products in the bookstore.
Items must be shipped to the JW Marriott Resort Hotel, Las Vegas, for arrival between July 21st and July 28th.

IEA Podcasts Feature Jerry Wagner and David Burke

The interview, conducted by veteran broadcaster Ron Esposito, the host of the IEA Monthly Podcast, can be found at http://sites.internationalenneagram.org/pc/Home/feed.xml. You can also go to the iTunes Store and listen or subscribe to the podcast. Simply search for keyword “Enneagram.” In the Enneagram Name/Artist list, you’ll see The International Enneagram Association /Various Contributors. If you subscribe to the podcast, each new edition will automatically download to your iTunes Library as they become available.
Next up for the podcast will be an interview with Australian Enneagram teacher David Burke. David began studying the Enneagram as part of his theological studies in the 1980s and established the Australian Enneagram Project in 1994.

IEA Now Extends to Chile, South America

A long awaited IEA global expansion project is now coming to fruition.
Organizational meetings to create an IEA Affilitate in Chile have been taking place in Santiago de Chile since Oscar Ayala and Yvonne Betenyane met with several enthusiasts in October in Vitacura, Santiago. After that sucessful introductory meeting, where the key drivers of the IEA were discussed, the team agreed to formally support the previous work done.
Since then, the number of enthusiasts is growing and they are making plans and filing the statutory documents for legally becoming an IEA Affiliate in Chile. Mrs. Erika Sieber and Mrs. Elizabeth Lama have prepared and presented the statute first draft for review and approbation.

IEA Brazil Conference
The third annual IEA Brazil Conference will take place June 18th to June 21st. For the first time, the conference will be held in Fortaleza, a beautiful northeastern town in Brazil, and the events will unfold right beside a beautiful beach. Several groundbreaking presentations and the usual enthusiastic, collegial atmosphere will set the tone of this highly anticipated conference.
