IEA Staff and Global Board

For over 25 years, the IEA has been led by a dedicated group of working volunteers serving as the IEA Global Board of Directors. The IEA and its programs have grown significantly over the years thanks to their efforts. In 2021 the Board determined it was time to hire an Executive Director to partner with the Board in leading the organization to achieve its strategic goals. An interim Executive Director was hired in January 2022 to begin the transition and restructuring process and our permanent Executive Director began in January 2023.

The IEA Global Board consists of 7-15 members who are selected from the membership at large, interviewed and recommended by the Board’s Nominating Committee, and elected by the Board. IEA Global Board members may serve up to two consecutive three-year terms. The Board generally meets monthly via Zoom and annually in person in conjunction with either the IEA Global Conference or a Regional Conference sponsored by IEA National Affiliates and/or US Regional Chapters.

Contact the IEA Office if you are interested in serving on the IEA Global Board of Directors.
